Nanoscale Science (Ph.D.)

The Nanoscale Science Ph.D. is an interdisciplinary program that addresses the development, manipulation, and use of materials and devices on the scale of roughly 1-100 nanometers in length, and the study of phenomena that occur on this size scale. The program prepares students to become scholarly, practicing scientists who possess the critical thinking, methodological and communication skills required to advance and disseminate knowledge of fundamental and applied nanoscale science.

Nonprofit Management (CERT)

As part of the Master of Public Administration program, the graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management provides education and training for the public and nonprofit sectors, conducts scholarly and applied research to advance the field of public administration and serves the community. Specialized training can be obtained in this certificate without having to pursue the MPA master's degree.

Nursing: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PCER)

The Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner graduate certificate concentration offers nurses with an acute care/critical care clinical practice background the opportunity to provide advanced nursing care to acutely ill adults. Nursing: Nurse Educator (CERT)

The graduate certificate in Nursing Education is designed to prepare nurses who have a BSN or MSN to become educational leaders in academic settings. This certificate consists of four courses for a total of twelve semester hours and can be completed within one calendar year. The Graduate Certificate provides students with the coursework needed to enhance the student's professional teaching skills.

Nursing: Nurse Educator (MSN)

The Nurse Educator specialty prepares nurses for advanced practice as Nurse Educators in selected areas of expertise. Students declare a specialty in the application and develop a portfolio from their graduate work demonstrating their expertise. Graduates of this program are prepared for academic positions teaching nursing at the entry into practice or RN-BSN levels and meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements for Nurse Educators.  The program is taught online.

Optical Science and Engineering (MS)

The Master of Science in Optical Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary program involving primarily five science and engineering departments and two centers (Departments of Physics and Optical Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science; the Center for Optoelectronics and Optical Communications; and the Center for Precision Metrology). The Program educates scientists and engineers who will develop the next generation of optical technology.
