Accountancy (MACC)

The Master of Accountancy (MACC) degree is designed to prepare students for careers in public accounting, industry, banking, and other organizations. In addition it prepares interested students for further study in doctoral programs or law school. The program provides graduates with the technical skills, competencies, knowledge, and judgment to succeed as an accounting professional.

Applied Econometrics (CERT)

Econometrics skills are in high demand both in the corporate and public sectors. The Graduate Certificate in Applied Econometrics provides students with a strong foundation in applied econometrics, giving them a competitive edge in the marketplace. The Certificate is a 12 credit-hour program of study focusing on the use of data and statistics to solve business related problems and guide decisions. In addition, Certificate students have the opportunity to explore graduate studies in economics prior to formally committing to a full graduate degree program. Students also enjoy the networking and professional development opportunities that the Belk College of Business has to offer.

Business Administration (DBA)

The UNC Charlotte Doctorate in Business Administration is a launchpad for careers in management consulting, or a professorship at a business school. Our three-year program lets you study in Charlotte one weekend a month, while networking with business professionals in America's second largest financial city. Business Administration (MBA)

The Master of Business Administration builds a student's potential for a leadership position in today's complex business organization by developing effective communications, systematic and creative problem-solving skills, confidence in decision making, ethical insight, sensitivity to teamwork and consensus-building, as well as a world view. The MBA program offers an outstanding educational experience for aspiring managers and leaders. Business Administration: Finance (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. in Business Administration is a full-time research-oriented program, designed to prepare graduates for academic teaching and research careers. The program includes core courses covering all business disciplines, combined with in-depth study in both theoretical and empirical aspects of finance. Students admitted to the finance program minor in economics, will complete a research methods sequence in mathematics. Students also will teach undergraduate courses to receive training in pedagogy. Graduates will be qualified for tenure-track professor positions at both national and international research and teaching universities and other educational institutions.

Economics (MS)

The Master of Science in Economics is a comprehensive program combining economic analysis with advanced quantitative methods to prepare students for analytical management positions in a variety of industries. The program has a strong track record of placing alums in Fortune 500 firms, PhD programs, and government jobs. The M.S. Economics is a part of the Belk College of Business, an AACSB International accredited business program located in the second largest financial center in the U.S., giving students a unique networking opportunity while pursuing their degree. Students engage in a dynamic but flexible curriculum where they select a concentration to tailor the program to their specific interests, and have the opportunity for international study. The Master of Science in Economics at UNC Charlotte allows students to develop their research and analytical skills.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CERT)

The Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation will give you a strong foundation in entrepreneurship and innovation, skill sets that are increasingly in demand. The certificate will give entrepreneurs (both those who seek to create independent ventures and those seeking to lead innovative transformation within existing corporations), a strong foundation to support current or future endeavors. Coursework in the certificate also provides a foundation that can be used to satisfy graduate business degree requirements in the future.

Management (MS)

The Master of Science in Management program is a full-time master's program delivered during the day that will provide business acumen to recent non-business undergraduates. This fast-track program delivers business fundamentals and develops graduates who are prepared to solve complex issues, evaluate and sell ideas, and lead teams across a wide variety of functions and industries. Students will be exposed to the major functional areas of business including accounting, finance, marketing and management.

Mathematical Finance (MS)

UNC Charlotte’s Master of Science in Mathematical Finance is nationally ranked in the top 25 by both The Financial Engineer and QuantNet. The Mathematical Finance program is a recognized STEM program housed in the Belk College of Business, which prepares students to pursue interesting careers in finance developing in depth skills in mathematics, finance, and economics. Financial institutions, investment banks, and commodities firms rely heavily on professionals with these skills to develop sophisticated mathematical models to identify, measure, and manage risk. The Belk College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and is located in the second largest financial center in the U.S., providing students a world-class education with unique networking opportunities. Students in the Mathematical Finance Program engage in an integrated curriculum and select a concentration to tailor the program to their specific interests.
