The Graduate Certificate in Respiratory Care Leadership is designed to provide additional knowledge and skills in the application of leadership, quality assessment and health policy concepts in the healthcare environment. The Graduate Certificate is 100% online and requires the completion of 12 credit hours of courses.

The post-master’s certificate in School Counseling meets the need of students who have completed a master’s degree in Counseling but have not met requirements for licensure as a school counselor in the state of North Carolina. Successful completion of the program requirements will enable the student to be recommended for licensure in school counseling from the university to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

The Graduate Certificate in Teaching offers an efficient pathway to initial teacher licensure for candidates who have already earned a bachelor's degree and a 2.70 or higher overall undergraduate GPA. Candidates with lower GPAs should apply as a Post-baccalaureate Pre-Teacher Licensure Pathway (GPA forgiveness) to become eligible for the Graduate Certificate in Teaching program. With the exception of the Art Education concentration, students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Teaching can apply their coursework towards the Master of Arts in Teaching program. The Graduate Certificate in Teaching is offered in the following licensure areas: Art Education (K-12), Career and Technical Education (6-12) {Business/IT, Family and Consumer Science, Marketing, Technology Engineering and Design}, Child and Family Development (B-K), Elementary Education (K-6), Foreign Language Education (K-12) {American Sign Language, Arabic, Cherokee, Chinese, French, German, Greek (Ancient and Modern), Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Turkish}, Middle Grades Education (6-9) {English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies}, Secondary Education (9-12) {Comprehensive Science, Comprehensive Social Studies, English, Math}, Special Education (K-12) {Adaptive Curriculum, General Curriculum}, Teaching English as a Second Language (K-12).

This 12 credit hour Graduate Certificate in College Teaching will prepare graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, current faculty, and others with the skills needed for the full range of faculty responsibilities at a range of institutions of higher education.
