Magin – West Lafayette, Indiana
Magin worked as an intelligence officer for the Air Force before pursuing graduate studies at UNC Charlotte. As part of her duty, she served in the flight operations center of Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where she led highly skilled service members in target development for Europe and Africa. She also represented the Air Force as a long-distance runner and was named 2015 athlete of the year while stationed in Germany. Magin’s experience in the military led her to pursue a doctorate in health psychology at UNC Charlotte. She hopes to study the cognitive, emotional, and social factors accompanying the adjustment to stressful life events, and she plans to use her studies to aid both civilians and veterans. Magin is a recipient of the 2016-2017 Veterans Graduate Assistantships at UNC Charlotte.
