Health Psychologists use a multidisciplinary perspective to promote positive health behaviors, encourage behavioral change and behavioral maintenance. Health Psychologists are frequently part of multidisciplinary teams conducting research and delivering interventions in academic, clinical, research, governmental and community settings. The Ph.D. in Health Psychology offers training in one of the following areas of emphasis: Clinical Psychology, Community Health Psychology or General Health Psychology.
