Language and Culture Studies: Translation and Interpreting Studies-Spanish and English (CERT)

Students in the certificate program study the history, theory, methodology, and profession of translation and interpreting; work in the analysis of different types of written and oral discourse; become familiar with computer-assisted translation, sight translation, simultaneous and consecutive interpreting; and develop advanced post-editing skills. Translating and interpreting is done in both directions of the language pair: Spanish and English. FUNDING New students admitted for Fall by the end of March and with a GPA of 3.0, may be nominated for the Graduate School Tuition Award ($2000).
