Nonprofit Management (CERT)

As part of the Master of Public Administration program, the graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management provides education and training for the public and nonprofit sectors, conduct scholarly and applied research to advance the field of public administration, and serve the community. Specilized training can be obtained in this certificate without having to pursue the MPA master's degree.

Optical Science and Engineering (MS)

The Master of Science in Optical Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary program involving primarily five science and engineering departments and two centers (Departments of Physics & Optical Science, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Science; the Center for Optoelectronics & Optical Communications; and the Center for Precision Metrology). The Program educates scientists and engineers who will develop the next generation of optical technology.

Optical Science and Engineering (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. in Optical Science and Engineering is interdisciplinary, involving primarily five science and engineering departments and two centers (Departments of Physics & Optical Science, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering & Engineering Science; the Center for Optoelectronics & Optical Communications; and the Center for Precision Metrology). The purpose of the program is to educate scientists and engineers who will develop the next generation of optical technology.

Organizational Science (Ph.D.)

Organizational Science is an interdisciplinary field of inquiry focusing on employee and organizational health, well-being, and effectiveness. Organizational Science is both a science and a practice, founded on the notion that enhanced understanding leads to applications and interventions that benefit the individual, work groups, the organization, the customer, the community, and the larger society in which the organization operates.

Physics (applied) (MS)

The Applied Physics concentration is excellent preparation for those planning to continue their education through the Ph.D., either in physics or an engineering field, or for a career as an instructor in a two-year college. Students electing the thesis option will be well qualified for employment in industry or in a research laboratory. The Applied Optics concentration is designed for students intending to pursue a career in optics fields such as optoelectronics, optical communications, optical metrology, etc. This concentration would also be excellent preparation for those planning to continue their education through the Ph.D. in optics.

Psychology: Industrial/Organizational (MA)

The Master of Arts in Psychology: Industrial/Organizational is a nationally recognized master’s degree program in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology. It provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the world of work from both an employee and organizational point of view. The program and its curriculum are built on five key foundational elements: Leadership, Organizational Change and Development, Talent, Culture/Climate, and Analytics.

Public Administration (MPAD)

The Master of Public Administration provides education and training for the public and nonprofit sectors, conduct scholarly and applied research to advance the field of public administration, and serve the community. MPA students have the option to concentrate their studies in several specialized areas: Non-Profit Management, Urban Management & Policy, Arts Administration, Emergency Management, and Public Finance.

Public Budgeting and Finance (CERT)

As part of the Master of Public Administration program, the graduate certificate in Public Finance provides education and training for the public and nonprofit sectors, conduct scholarly and applied research to advance the field of public administration, and serve the community. Specilized training can be obtained in this certificate without having to pursue the MPA master's degree.

Public Policy (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. in Public Policy is an interdisciplinary program focusing on the study of policy development, implementation, and evaluation. It stresses the development of skills, tools, and specialties, as well as a theoretical understanding of them, that contribute to our understanding of the structure of institutional systems and sub-systems and of how policy should be shaped within political environments.
